When Laforet Harajuku was designed, Harajuku was a town mainly for young people, who were not willing to go up above the second floor. As a solution to this problem, a split-level floor plan was adopted in order to draw people into the upper floors. Taking a view of the store on the upper and lower floors, shoppers can enjoy shopping just like walking through the street.
